Quality Care, Close to Home.

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is proud to be a part of a long legacy of high-quality, compassionate care. The St. Francis hospital began serving its community in 1909 as the mission of a group of Catholic nuns who rose up to meet a need. Today, the hospital has 378 licensed beds, a history of technological advancements, and a generous and supportive community.

In 2017, through a partnership between Ardent Health Services and The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis embarked on a new era. Ardent is renowned for its outstanding record of community investment, leading edge technology, and health care achievements to the hospital’s management. The University of Kansas Health System is known for its medical and surgical advancements, quality of care, research, and expansive provider network. Both organizations are dedicated to building healthier communities through world-class health care.

In 2020, St. Francis Campus partnered with Premier Health to expand urgent care services in the Topeka area. Premier Health’s expertise in operating urgent care centers together with St. Francis Campus’s strong tradition of providing high quality, compassionate care are a great combination that will benefit patients and the community.

Our Mission: We will provide an excellent patient care experience by delivering convenient, quality health care in a setting that is compassionate, safe and radically consumer-centric.

St. Francis Campus Urgent Care provides quality healthcare for adults and children over the age of three months.

Illness and injuries happen without warning, so we are open with extended hours, when most physicians’ offices are closed. Our caregivers can treat most urgent care conditions successfully, without a visit to the emergency room. Simply walk in, and you’ll be seen as quickly as possible. Some of the many perks of our clinics are:

  • Experienced medical staff with a strong emergency medicine and primary care background
  • Convenient weekday and weekend hours, with no appointment needed
  • Adults and children three months old and up are welcome
  • On-site lab work, X-rays, physicals, and immunizations
  • Lower co-payment and lower overall cost than an emergency room visit
  • Accepts most major insurances

Part of a Trusted Tradition

St. Francis Campus Urgent Care is accredited and certified by the Urgent Care Association (UCA) the industry’s trade association.  UCA defines urgent care as “healthcare provided on a walk-in (no appointment) basis for acute illness or injury that is not life or limb threatening, and is either beyond the scope or availability of the typical primary care practice or retail clinic.”
